Day Five Creative Writing Prompt:
You may take this word either way – as in weeping or ripping. Plenty of scope for rhyming here, if that’s your thing. Extra Brownie points if you use both words (in context) in the same sentence.
You have free reign to write whatever you like, any genre, any style, any length. But if you don’t write anything, there may be tears…
*Otherwise known as a homograph, this is a word with different meanings depending on its pronunciation. Like read and read. Or row and row. Or lead and lead. Or close and close. Don’t you just love the quirkiness of the English language? Play around with it and have some linguistic fun.
Homograph. Hold that thought. Because some time soon, I’ll also be dabbling with other Homonyms and Homophones. Oh yes…
Back to Basics – if you need to catch up, it’s all here
I intend posting prompts here each day (until May Day) at 5pm – alive at five (Dublin time).
